Dr. Juan C. Medina
I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela. I graduated in 1995 from the dentistry program at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. After graduation, I also obtained a Specialty in Advanced Adult Dentistry degree and completed a Master in Aesthetic Dentistry and Implants coursework from the Universidad Santa Maria. I became faculty member at the University, instructing and coordinating third year undergraduate students in Prosthodontics. I also supervised all aspects of patient care and treatment in the Adult Services Clinics. At the same time, I was practicing dentistry privately until I moved to Canada in 2004. After working in a dental lab for a number of years, I realized that I missed meeting and interacting with people, so I pursued and obtained the certification from National Dental Board Examining Board (NDEB) of Canada in 2013.
I believe strongly in catering to each patient's dental needs by formulating a treatment plan that will best suit the patient's individual requirements. Since dental treatments, techniques and materials are constantly evolving, I continue to seek out continuing education programs that let me provide leading edge care to all my patients.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy living in Guelph with my wife, Nicole, and two children, Diego and Luisa. I also enjoy gardening, sculpturing, painting and playing squash. I am active in the community through volunteering as a leader at my local church in the children ministry leadership.
